My name is Samantha. I'm
forty three years old. I am a wife to an
amazing man called Antony, and we have been
married for eighteen years. We have four children together who keep us
busy.
I'm a stay at home mum who is an author of romantic books. My hobbies include writing, reading, photography, and
making book covers.
I have suffered from anxiety for over sixteen
years now. I have tried anti-depressants, CBT, hypnotherapy,
and now I’m talking with a therapist.
I’m not a tablet person, I don’t deal with side
effects well, and they make my anxiety worse. CBT worked for a while, but they
can only talk to you so many times before the calls end. Hypnotherapy didn’t
work either, I had one bad experience with one, and decided that wasn’t for me.
I’m now looking to therapy to help me break this cycle.
One thing I have learned already is that there is no quick fix for
anxiety, it will take time to break the
habit of sixteen years. I have to be determined to beat it, at times it is
hard, but I don’t want to live like this anymore, I want my life back.
I started this blog to help me deal with what I go
through each day, and to hopefully reach out to
others, to let them know they are not alone.
